26th of November

Found myself covering for Sukki at a private 40th Birthday party.

My first private gig without being part of a troupe, somewhat nervous en route, but soon put at ease. The party was held at a lovely home; professional pianist playing, catering staff mingling amongst the crowd, bar men spinning and catching cocktail shakers and myself as the entertainment.

Performed the balloon pop and feather fan dance as Sukki mentioned they wanted traditional burlesque, went down well and definitely livened up the atmosphere of the party.

Still in a slight funk about performing, really wish my pac-man and little red costumes hadn't gone missing this year, really miss my silk fans.

Blazing Burlesque

5th of November saw myself Sweet Cherry Kiss and the sublime Sukki Singapora combine forces to create the sell out show, Blazing Burlesque!

The night was held to raise money for Breast Cancer Research and with the help of a raffle and audience collection we rasied £185.50 for the charity. Apparantly the people in the chairity office had a week long giggle over the names Sweet Cherry Kiss and Sukki Singapora, oh well we had an amazing night and raised a nice amount of money for them!

This evening was the debut of my feather fan dancing, they were so much fun to play with! A dream to dance with, much thanks to Luli Blue for making them. It was also the debut of Sukki's Bollywood inspired palm laves fan dance and with Bonnie's silk fans we had quite the array of different fan dances for the audience to enjoy!

Myself and Sukki acted as hosts for the evening and were joined by several very talented acts who helped make our night extra special. Red Redmond was a great compere, bright, friendly, very engaging with the crowd, even allowing an audience member trained in MMA to show off a spectacular body slam using himself, Red was sent somersaulting through the air!
Bella Von Kiss captivated the audience with two very well suited ballads for the show, even sending a collection through the audience to help boost our fund-raising.
Burlesque, Bonnie Petite
Bonnie Petite jumped in to cover for another act who due to travel emergencies couldn't attend the night. She was a star! Her routine was definitely fiery, she was a delight to have in our show.

Duncan Oakley

And our headline act was no other than the amazingness that is, Duncan Oakley. His highly energetic ranting, amazing comedic abilities and musical funness was a great round off to the night, left everyone with a smile on their faces.

Was great to see a few loyal fans at the gig and friends who travelled aways to be there, made the night even more memorable.
Thank-you so much to all who supported this event by attending and giving to the chairty.

Massive Thank-you to Sukki, Dave and Duncan, who without this event would not have happened.

Cherry Kiss Kabaret!

Cant believe I forgot to blog about this!

Stand Up comedian Chris Brooker was an amazing compere for the event.  Brooker was hilarious, much loved by the audience and great to have involved, hope to work with him again in the future.

The lovely Lisa from the Laugh Inn came over from Chester to perform with us and the glamorous Kitty Cointreau performed an amazing routine, glitter and sublime feather fans. There was also live music from Louise Johnstone and her band and also the wonderful Voice Collective.

A massive Thank-You to all who were involved and came to watch and support it was a great night.

Cheers to the  Not Part of Festival for their support and advice in putting on an event for their festival.

End of the Summer

Been a tiring summer, commitments to a play and helping out in Edinburgh.

In the chaos of moving house twice, bipping around the country performing I have lost my Pac Man Bra and Silk fans! and the whole of my Little Red Costume.
Sad days for Sweet Cherry Kiss.

Have been made happier though, by seeing lots of talented acts at Kitty Cointreau's BraHaHa this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe and seeing the girls of Chester's the Laugh Inn perform several times.

Very excited with my new props! Gorgeous red and purple feather fans, made by the beautiful Luli Blue, during the workshop with Luli I had loads of fun, she was an amazing teacher and made the fans herself, could not be happier with them!

Lovely Duncan took some amazing pics of me with my new fans, will have to post them soon!

New Routine

Biffy Clyro: Bubbles

Traditional Balloon pop, but, balloons are on a boa. Allows me to dance with them, create great big shapes on stage. Love it!
Best part Balloons are filled with glitter, theyre almost alive, make each performance slightly different.

Glitter Kittens at Joshua Brooks

This Friday,

I really enjoy performing at Joshua Brooks,
has an intimate feel to place, like a lounge or salon type atmosphere. I'm looking forward to Friday, hope its a success.

Thats Entertainment

Performed newer version of Pac Man Boogie,

Was a good night, went round selling raffle tickets and collecting for the charity. Managed to get a nice amount of money for charity me thinks.
Was a great line up, I was so excited about meeting Lolita Latex, was a huge geek and managed to get a photo with her after the gig.

Thank you to Daisy Lane for having me perform at her gig, hope to work for her again in future.

Leicester, Bra Haha

Leicester Bra-Haha

At the Y Theatre Leicester, probably the biggest Burlesque gig I've done to date. Was an amazing show! Really enjoyed performing there.
The other acts were extremely funny and talented, to be performing in the same show as them was so exciting.
I loved the crowd at Leicester, definately alot of whooping and cheering they came across as very friendly and lively.
After the show with the other acts, we had a chat and a drink, several members of audience come up to say they enjoyed my routines, was a lovely way to end a really enjoyable show.
Massive thank you to Kitty Cointreau for having me,
Can't wait for next Bra Haha!

Some amazing live photographs aswell, massive thank you to the photographer Paul Needleham,

Manchester, Bucket Cabaret

Manchester, Bucket Cabaret

Was a great night, really enjoyed performing on such a mixed bill, I was the only Burlesque dancer, but thankfully the crowd knew how to react and when to whoop and cheer, so it was a good performance.
Funniest moment, I got down to tassles on my Little Red routine, and noticed people watching through window! I waved to them using fans and made a massive gushing face to audience. They laughed and said it was the most enjoyable of the two perfomances.
I do love pac man routine, but the choreography needs work.
Met a very interesting person that night. A musical mime, we have begun hatching a plan, only going to say that much at this time. See what comes of it.
